Key data from East Renfrewshire

In the last 15 months to the 30 June 2018 we supported 3 employer and 92 individual dealing with redundancy.

As of 29 June 2018 there were 408 apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 we supported 49 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in East Renfrewshire is 81%.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 we delivered 2,668 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,955 people through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2018 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,158 16-19 year olds in East Renfrewshire 96.8% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in East Renfrewshire

We help local employers in East Renfrewshire make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last three months our Employer Engagement team has provided:

In the last 12 months we also supported three companies and 92 individuals dealing with redundancy.

Supporting partners in East Renfrewshire

We work closely with schools across East Renfrewshire, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included working with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to ensure that My World of Work is placed firmly at the heart of their organisation.
