Key data from West Lothian

As of the 25 June 2021 there were 1,164 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April to 25 June 2021 we supported 140 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 47.1% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in West Lothian is 70.4%.

From 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021 we delivered 9,057 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 5,263 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April to 30 June 2021 of the 11,403 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 85% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April to 25 June 2021 we funded 73 Employability Fund starts.

The 2020 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 8,033 16-19 year olds in West Lothian 92.4% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 42 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 32 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 143 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2020-21 we invested over £6.6m in the local area.
