In the last 12 months to the 30th of June 2019 we supported 12 employers and 657 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 28th of June 2019 there were 1,294 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we supported 166 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in West Lothian is 73%.

From 1st June 2018 to 31st May 2019 we delivered 14,441 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 7,410 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019, 2,412 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we funded 44 Employability Fund starts.

From 1st April 2019 to 30th June 2019 we delivered 781 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 387 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2019 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 7,944 16-19 year olds in West Lothian 90.6% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in West Lothian

We help local employers in West Lothian make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

Supporting partners in West Lothian

We work closely with schools across West Lothian, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included supporting staff in West Lothian Council and West Lothian College to build links from their websites to My World of Work, helping signpost to online careers information and advice.
