Key data from South Lanarkshire

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we have supported 15 employers and 691 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2022 there were 2,539 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported 1,688 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 54.7% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in South Lanarkshire is 71.9%.

From 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022 we delivered 24,565 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 14,143 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at 31 May 2022 of the 19,351 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 87% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we funded 480 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we delivered 4,646 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,962 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 13,530 16-19 year olds in South Lanarkshire 92.8% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 98 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 69 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 456 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2020-21 we invested over £13.5m in the local area.
