Key data from Dumfries and Galloway

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we have supported 6 employers and 89 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2022 there were 998 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported 709 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 49.1% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Dumfries & Galloway is 64.5%.

From 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022 we delivered 12,305 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 6,138 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at 31 May 2022 of the 8,280 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 91% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we funded 128 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we delivered 3,812 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,318 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,830 16-19 year olds in Dumfries & Galloway 93.1% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 20 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 12 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 108 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2020-21 we invested over £4.8m in the local area.
