Key data from Dumfries and Galloway

From 1 of April to 30 June 2021 we have supported 9 individuals faced with redundancy in the local area.

As of the 25 June 2021 there were 988 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April to 25 June 2021 we supported 136 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 33.1% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Dumfries & Galloway is 63.1%.

From 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021 we delivered 7,189 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 3,939 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021 of the 8,269 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 87% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

My World of Work

From 1 April to 25 June 2021 we funded 26 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April to 30 June 2021 we delivered 992 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 457 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,830 16-19 year olds in Dumfries & Galloway 93.1% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 20 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 12 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020, 108 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2019-20 we invested over £5.2m in the local area.
