Key data from North Ayrshire

In the last 12 months to the 31 March 2018 we supported 6 employers and 142 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2018 there were 1,140 apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 we supported 841 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in North Ayrshire is 74%.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 we delivered 16,609 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 7,163 people through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 3,871 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 we funded 307 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 our Employer Engagement team has provided skills advice to 29 businesses.

The 2017 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 6,018 16-19 year olds in North Ayrshire 90.3% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in North Ayrshire

We help local employers in North Ayrshire make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last 12 months our Employer Engagement team has provided:

Supporting partners in North Aryshire

We work closely with schools across North Ayrshire, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their services. This has included working with Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), to ensure that My World of Work is placed firmly at the heart of their organisation.
