In the last 12 months to the 30th of June 2019 we supported 4 employers and 100 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 28th of June 2019 there were 705 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we supported 102 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in South Ayrshire is 66%.

From 1st June 2018 to 31st May 2019 we delivered 9,575 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 4,600 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019, 645 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we funded 27 Employability Fund starts.

From 1st April 2019 to 30th June 2019 we delivered 410 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 211 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2019 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 4,444 16-19 year olds in South Ayrshire 91.6% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

We help local employers in South Ayrshire make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last 12 months we supported four companies and 100 individuals dealing with redundancy.

Supporting partners in South Ayrshire

We work closely with schools across South Ayrshire, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their services. This has included working with Ayr College, to ensure that My World of Work is placed firmly at the heart of their organisation.
