In the last 12 months to the 31 December 2017 we supported 4 employers and 68 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 29 December 2017 there were 643 apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2017 to 29 December 2017 we supported 310 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Moray is 83%.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 December 2017 we delivered 6,692 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 3,300 people through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2017 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 4,085 16-19 year olds in Moray 89.8% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in Moray

We help local employers in Moray make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last 9 months our Employer Engagement team has provided:

  • Skills advice to 28 companies
  • Support for 23 companies and 18 individuals to complete the Certificate of Work Readiness

In the last 12 months we also supported four companies and 68 individuals dealing with redundancy.

Supporting partners in Moray

We work closely with schools across Moray, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We've also organised update and awareness sessions for other local partner organisations, including after care and follow-up sessions to ensure the efficient embedding of My World of Work in their services. This has included working with the Moray LA Career Management Skills Officer.
