Key data from Glasgow

From 1 of April to 30 June 2021 we have supported 8 employers and 197 individuals faced with redundancy in the local area.

As of the 25 June 2021 there were 3,309 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April to 25 June 2021 we supported 387 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 49.6% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Glasgow City is 72.5%.

From 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021 we delivered 34,303 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 17,453 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021 of the 27,689 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 64% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April to 25 June 2021 we funded 281 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April to 30 June 2021 we delivered 4,400 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,948 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 20,073 16-19 year olds in Glasgow City 90.5% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 121 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 280 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020, 326 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2019-20 we invested over £28.3m in the local area.
