In the last 12 months to the 30 September 2018 we supported 13 employers and 213 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 28 September 2018 there were 1,521 apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 September 2018 we supported 498 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Falkirk is 82%.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 September 2018 we delivered 5,373 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 3,435 people through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2018 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 6,456 16-19 year olds in Falkirk 92.2% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in Falkirk

We help local employers in Falkirk make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last six months our Employer Engagement team has provided:

Supporting partners in Falkirk

We work closely with schools across Falkirk, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included working with Falkirk Council departments including Routes to Employment, Employment & Training Unit and Community Learning and Development.
