Key data from Argyll and Bute

In the last 12 months to the 30th of June 2019 we supported 6 employers and 39 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 28th of June 2019 there were 520 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we supported 63 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Argyll & Bute is 86%.

From 1st June 2018 to 31st May 2019 we delivered 4,792 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 2,291 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019, 442 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we funded 20 Employability Fund starts.

From 1st April 2019 to 30th June 2019 we delivered 235 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 108 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2019 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 3,209 16-19 year olds in Argyll & Bute 94.8% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in Argyll and Bute

We help local employers in Argyll and Bute make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last 12 months we supported six employers and 39 individuals dealing with redundancy.

Supporting partners in Argyll and Bute

We work closely with schools across Argyll and Bute, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included close ties with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) across Argyll and Bute to ensure that My World of Work is placed firmly at the heart of their organisation.
