Key data from Argyll and Bute

In the last 12 months to the 31 March 2019 we supported 5 employers and 32 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2019 there were 575 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 we supported 396 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Argyll & Bute is 80%.

From 1 June 2018 to 31 May 2019 we delivered 4,792 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements with 2,291 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 2,012 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 we funded 92 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 we delivered 1,029 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements with 330 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2018 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 3,180 16-19 year olds in Argyll & Bute 94.2% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

We help local employers in Argyll and Bute make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

Supporting partners in Argyll and Bute

We work closely with schools across Argyll and Bute, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included close ties with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) across Argyll and Bute to ensure that My World of Work is placed firmly at the heart of their organisation.
