Key data from Perth and Kinross

In the last 12 months to the 31 March 2018 we supported 4 employers and 67 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2018 there were 1,040 apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 we supported 770 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Perth & Kinross is 75%.

From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 we delivered 13,871 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 6,295 people through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2017 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,773 16-19 year olds in Perth & Kinross 93.1% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in Perth and Kinross

We help local employers in Perth and Kinross make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

Supporting partners in Perth and Kinross

We work closely with schools across Perth and Kinross, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included close ties with Perth College and Perth & Kinross Council to ensure that My World of Work is placed firmly at the heart of their organisation.
