From 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 we supported a number of employers and 41 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of the 31 March 2026 there were 846 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 we supported 530 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 61.5% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in East Lothian is 82.9%.

From 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026 we delivered 7,851 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 5,345 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at the 31 May 2026 of the 6,663 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 70% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 we delivered 1,059 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 479 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The Annual Participation Measure 2025 showed that of the 4,773 16-19 year olds in East Lothian 94.8% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2022-23, 105 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.
