Key data from East Lothian

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported number of employers and 40 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2022 there were 841 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported 552 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 65.6% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in East Lothian is 68.3%.

From 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022 we delivered 7,245 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 4,269 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at 31 May 2022 of the 6,189 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 73% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we funded 122 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we delivered 1,218 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 579 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 4,160 16-19 year olds in East Lothian 94.0% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 18 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 8 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 52 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2020-21 we invested over £4.4m in the local area.
