From 1 April to 30 September 2023 we have supported a number of employers and individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 29 September 2023 there were 824 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April to 29 September 2023 we supported 293 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 58.7% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in East Lothian is 72.0%.

From 1 June to 30 September 2023 we delivered 2,021 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,736 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at the 30 September 2023 of the 5,364 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 68% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April to 30 September 2023 we delivered 474 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 249 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2023 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 4,489 16-19 year olds in East Lothian 96.1% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2021-22 there were 8 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and a number registered with employers based in the area.

In 2021-22, 54 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2021-22 we invested over £4.6m in the local area.
