In the last 12 months to the 30th of June 2019 we supported 2 employers and 79 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 28th of June 2019 there were 198 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we supported 22 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

From 1st June 2018 to 31st May 2019 we delivered 2,399 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,111 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2019 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 1,038 16-19 year olds in Eilean Siar 95.5% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting partners in Eilean Siar

We work closely with schools across Eilean Siar, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We've also organised update and awareness sessions for local partner organisations across the Islands to embed My World of Work into their services. This has included partners delivering employability services to ensure My World of Work is place firmly at the heart of what they deliver.
