Key data from Fife

In the last 12 months to the 30 June 2018 we supported 35 employers and 1,592 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 29 June 2018 there were 2,541 apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 we supported 263 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Fife is 75%.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 we delivered 8,004 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 5,652 people through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 1,774 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 we funded 157 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2018 to 30 June 2018 our Employer Engagement team has provided skills advice to 12 businesses.

The 2018 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 15,104 16-19 year olds in Fife 90.1% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

Supporting business in Fife

We help local employers in Fife make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

In the last three months our employer engagement team has provided:

Supporting partners in Fife

We work closely with schools across Fife, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

  • Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
  • Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
  • Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included close ties with Fife College to support the development of students' employability skills.
