Key data from East Ayrshire

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we have supported 9 employers and 173 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2022 there were 1,108 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported 705 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 55.2% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in East Ayrshire is 70.7%.

From 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022 we delivered 7,800 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 4,705 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at 31 May 2022 of the 6,602 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 85% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we funded 232 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we delivered 2,044 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 797 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 4,956 16-19 year olds in East Ayrshire 91.0% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 20 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 5 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 30 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2020-21 we invested over £4.9m in the local area.
