Key data from Dumfries and Galloway

From 1 April to 31 December 2022 we have supported 14 employers and 248 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 30 December 2022 there were 996 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April to 30 December 2022 we supported 506 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 55.7% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Dumfries & Galloway is 70.8%.

From 1 June to 31 December 2022 we delivered 6,414 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 4,271 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As of 31 December 2022 of the 8,363 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 86% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we funded 128 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April to 31 December 2022 we delivered 2,821 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 1,093 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2022 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,622 16-19 year olds in Dumfries & Galloway 93.3% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2021-22 there were 17 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 15 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 108 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2021-22 we invested over £5.3m in the local area.
