Winter Leavers Careers Event - East Kilbride
Friday 17 November - 11am to 1pm: The SDS East Kilbride Team are hosting an event for 2023 winter leavers from local schools. The event will provide winter leavers with the chance to meet with partners who work in the local area and to find out more about the opportunities available to them.
Meet and greet - SDS Kirkcaldy
Friday 17 November - 11am: An opportunity for partners supporting customers in East Fife to come together, as well as for customers to meet those who can support them.
Open Doors - Motherwell Centre
Friday 17 November, 2pm to 4pm: Come along and meet local careers advisers and discuss how we can help to support you to identify, plan and build your careers.
Wallacetown Employability Hub Drop In
Friday 17 November - 9.30am to 12pm: Skills Development Scotland, Ayr Centre and South Ayrshire Council, Thriving Communities are working across community hubs during Scottish Careers Week to promote the support they have on offer. Youth Employability and Gambling Harms - For employers
Friday 17 November - 1pm to 2.30pm: This 1.5 hour webinar designed for employers of young people will discuss concerns and warning signs of on-line and in-person gambling, as well as how these can possibly lead to and exacerbate gambling harms for young people experiencing vulnerabilities and anxieties, from first time employment or a sudden influx of income.
DYW Live: Scottish Careers Week
Education Scotland, e-Sgoil, Founders4Schools and Skills Development Scotland are working in partnership to deliver a range of inspirational talks from a wide range of industry experts through the week. Four 30-minute sessions will run each day between 13-17 November taking place at 9.45, 10.45, 11.45 and 13.45.
