Event details
Understanding Young People and Career Ambitions is part of Scottish Careers Week.
The session will bring together partners from across the careers ecosystem, including those working in education, colleges, universities, Developing the Young Workforce, Skills Development Scotland, local authority employability and youth work.
This one-hour collaborative session will share valuable new insight from Scotland’s young people around their influences, motivations, views and perceptions of careers and career ambitions. Partners will have the opportunity to learn and reflect on how the findings can influence enhancements to Scotland’s career services, defined as career information, advice, guidance, education and brokerage.
The aim is to better equip everyone supporting young people, help them in developing their services and gain their input into how future research is shaped to continue to strengthen their offer.
All those working in this field are part of the Career Services Collaborative; recognising that they all must play a vital role in leading the change, innovation and improvement required to deliver the new vision for Scotland’s Career Services. An important aspect of this is maintaining the customer voice as a key driver for change and improvement.
