New VR tool launched for Scottish schools
Pupils from Castlebrae High School were the first in the country to test a new VR system designed to promote careers in construction.
Developed by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) in partnership with Balfour Beatty, the new technology places headset users right at the heart of the Edinburgh Futures Institute construction site without having to leave the classroom.
The new virtual reality (VR) tech is being officially launched at a construction festival for secondary schools taking place in Edinburgh as part of Scottish Careers Week from 7-11 November 2022.
