Key data from North Ayrshire

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported a number of employers and 72 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 31 March 2022 there were 1,097 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we supported 725 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 55.2% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in North Ayrshire is 75.5%.

From 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022 we delivered 6,521 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 3,991 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at 31 May 2022 of the 7,801 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 72% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we funded 281 Employability Fund starts.

From 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we delivered 1,584 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 697 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2021 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,730 16-19 year olds in North Ayrshire 90.1% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2020-21 there were 21 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and 10 registered with employers based in the area.

In 2020-21, 59 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2020-21 we invested over £5.m in the local area.
