New location for the career service in Parkhead

Residents in Glasgow’s east end will benefit from some changes to the career service in the area.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS), the organisation that delivers the national career service, has changed location as part of a drive to help more people through partnership working in community and partner venues.

SDS advisers offer free, impartial career information, advice and guidance for people of all ages in secondary schools, centres and community venues across Scotland.  

SDS is at a new venue in the East End Campus of Glasgow Kelvin College. Customers will be able to make an appointment to meet an adviser there Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and a Friday from 9am –5pm and a Wednesday 10:30am – 5pm.

Customers will also be able to meet the team at community hubs throughout Glasgow's east end, including more locations at Parkhead Hub, Dennistoun Library and Tollcross Advice and Learning Centre.

Whether someone is exploring their first job, changing direction, or returning to work after time away, our advisers are here to help.

“Our new base in Glasgow Kelvin College will allow us to work even more closely with local partners and deliver services in a welcoming, accessible environment. W look forward to helping residents across the east end of Glasgow unlock their potential and take the next step in their career journey.”

SDS started delivering its services to customers of all ages in the college from Monday, 1 September 2025. Customers can contact the local SDS team on 0141 554 6662, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Not only will locals continue to easily access the career service, our students will benefit from having career and skills development opportunities on site.”
