From 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 we supported a number of employers and individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of the 31 March 2024 there were 829 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 we supported 566 Modern Apprenticeship starts. 55.8% of the starts in the local area were aged 16-24.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in East Lothian is 74.0%.

From 1 June 2023 to 31 March 2024 we delivered 7,626 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 4,941 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

As at the 31 March 2024 of the 6,497 maintained school pupils in the local authority, 67% were registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 we delivered 895 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 394 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The May 2024 Interim Participation Snapshot showed that of the 4,675 16-19 year olds in East Lothian 94.2% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

In 2021-22 there were 8 registered Graduate Apprentices with a home address in the local authority and a number registered with employers based in the area.

In 2021-22, 54 pupils started Foundation Apprenticeships in schools at SCQF Level 4-6 in this area.

In 2021-22 we invested over £4.6m in the local area.
