Parent and carer research – Parents’ Voice Survey 2023/24

Our research shows that parents and carers are the main influencers over the choices young people make about subjects and careers.

CIAG

We work in close partnership with schools, and we have advisers working in every state secondary school in Scotland. Our school advisers support young people to make informed career choices and would value feedback from parents and carers on our services. You can do this by taking part in a short survey.

The aim of this survey is to ask about parent and carer awareness and use of SDS services, and how they talk to their young person about careers.

The information gathered will allow us to understand parent and carer needs and help us inform and shape our services.

We may use quotes for reporting purposes; however, all responses will be anonymised and will not be used in a way that would allow any individual to be identified.

Our privacy policy and how we will use this information is located here

Personal data will be held until 31 May 2025 and then deleted from the online questionnaire system and SDS records. If participants wish to withdraw their consent, they should contact SDS’s Data Protection Officer at DPO@sds.co.uk. Consent can be withdrawn at any time until 31 May 2025.

If you have any questions about this survey, please contact CIAGPlan&Perform@sds.co.uk

The survey will be open until Friday 31 May 2024.

All responses will be kept confidential.

If you consent to taking part in the survey and the use of your personal data, you can access it here.

SDS Evaluation and Research colleagues have compiled a briefing paper as well as a short video summary outlining the key findings from the 2022/23 survey results.
