Intensive Coaching Guidance

Our careers advisers offer intensive support to young people who would benefit most

Young people need to feel confident that the decisions they’re making are the right ones.

We want all young people to realise their potential and make a successful transition from school. We recognise that individuals have different needs and will require different levels of support to achieve this.

That’s why we offer intensive coaching guidance for those who would benefit most and maintain this coaching relationship throughout their time at school and beyond:

  • For those with the greatest need, the Skills Development Scotland team ensure the right person supports the young person. From S3 this could be a careers adviser or a work coach who will continue to work with them once they have left school if they have not progressed into a positive destination

  • Additional group activities can be delivered where they would add further value to support progression
