FAQs

The ITA scheme closed on 20 July at 5pm.

ITAs closed to new applications as SDS was able to accept 6,000 applications this year and we experienced high demand and have now reached this limit.

You must contact your chosen training provider with proof of your income or benefits within four weeks of applying through My World of Work. If you have not been verified by your training provider within four weeks your application will be deleted and you will need to submit a new application, provided that the scheme is still accepting new applications at this point.

If you have already applied and received a confirmation email that your funding application has been approved, you must book onto a course within four weeks of receiving your confirmation email. If you do not book onto a course within four weeks of receiving confirmation, your funding application will no longer be valid and you will have to reapply if and when the fund reopens.

As long as your eligibility is verified on the ITA system by your chosen training provider within four weeks of your application through My World of Work, your funding will be guaranteed.

You should check your spam folder in case the confirmation email and instructions has gone into that folder. If you do not have this, please phone SDS on 0800 917 8000 to confirm the email address you entered and to receive further instructions.

At this time, we do not anticipate that additional places will be made available this year

As long as you provide evidence of your eligibility to your chosen training provider within four weeks of submitting your application you will still receive funding for your chosen course

No, although the ITA programme is closed to new applicants this does not impact on training which has already started.

As long as you have been verified as eligible by your chosen training provider within four weeks of submitting your ITA application you will still receive funding for training taking place at a future date
