The Buildng Futures Group is the Sector Skills Council for facilities management, housing, property, planning, cleaning and parking.

1 in 4 of all Scottish homes is owned and managed by a social landlord, that is, either a local authority or a housing association, so these employ large numbers of people in Scotland. The Building Futures Group has developed a Modern Apprenticeship at two levels to support the Housing sector.

Framework details

  • Level 2 in Housing (SCQF Level 6): Roles include Housing Administrator, Housing Repairs Assistant, Housing Assistant, Assistant Housing Officer, Assistant Repairs Officer
  • Level 3 in Housing (SCQF Level 7): Roles include Housing office, Housing support officer or roles in service support, such as homelessness prevention or quality assurance roles.
