SummitSkills is the standards setting organsiation for the building services engineering (BSE) sector, which represents the electrotechnical, heating and ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration and plumbing industries.

The Electrical Installation industry covers a range of projects and operational activities, including:

  • Installing and maintaining electrotechnical systems and equipment
  • Repairing and assembling electrotechnical equipment and machines
  • Installing and inspecting structured cabling systems
  • Installing Highway electrical systems
  • Summit Skills has developed a Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation to support the skills needs of the sector.

Framework Details

Electrical Installation at SCQF Level 7

The framework was reviewed in 2015 and the new framework was approved by the Modern Apprenticeship Group on 23 July 2015. It is operational from 5th August 2015.
