Skillsmart Retail is the Sector Skills Council for Retail and has developed a Modern Apprenticeship in Retail at two different levels to support the sector in Scotland.
Framework details
- SCQF Level 5 in Retail - This can lead to roles such as: Sales Assistants, Beauty Consultant, Customer Service Assistant, Stockroom Assistant, Visual Merchandiser, Fresh Food Counter Assistant (bakery, Fish, Butchery, Fresh Produce)
- SCQF Level 6 in Retail - This can lead to roles such as: Senior Sales Assistants, Department Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader, Store Manager of a small outlet, Visual Merchandiser Supervisor, Brand or Product Specialist, Style Advisors (Personal Shoppers, Retail Consultant, Stylist), Craft experts (e.g Bakery)
