Semta is the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies, representing a wide range of sectors: aerospace, automotive, bioscience, electrical, electronics, maintenance, marine, mathematics, mechanical, metals and engineered metal products.
This MA Framework was developed by SEMTA to support the renewal and major refurbishment of the rail network in Scotland.
The Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR) defined the strategic investments in Scotland's national transport network from 2012. The STPR includes a range of interventions for the rail network including a major electrification programme, reconfiguration of the national rail timetable, and strategic rail improvements and enhancements.
