Skills Development Scotland (SDS) was delighted to partner Connect’s AGM and Annual Lecture.

Alongside, the General Teaching Council for Scotland and the Educational Institute of Scotland, SDS is a firm advocate for supporting the mental health of young people.

Following the AGM for members, the lecture; “Kind to Minds: Supporting Children and Young People’s Mental Health” offered delegates a vision of the positive outcomes that can benefit everyone when we look after our young people’s mental wellbeing.

SDS supports young people from P5 to S6 and into post-school life to develop essential Career Management Skills, fully consider the opportunities in the world of work and understand the advice available at every stage.

Commenting on SDS’s support, Education Programme Lead Ken Edwards said:

“As part of our long-standing relationship with Connect, SDS was delighted to once again co-sponsor the 2021 annual lecture. All will recognise that, this year's topic 'Kind to Minds' is more relevant now than ever and the lecture was a valuable contribution to bringing this into focus.”
