A new range of promotional materials highlighting Skills Development Scotland's (SDS) careers support for pupils, parents and teachers are now available.

These new materials have been developed in line with feedback from young people and careers practitioners.

Here’s what’s new:

  • A set of 12 posters related to core school subjects and related careers to help inspire conversations in the classroom.
  • Three new guides to our career services – for pupils, parents and teachers.
  • New appointment cards for pupils.
  • Posters for My World of Work, Career Management Skills and Digital World.
  • Two posters for teachers which introduce the school’s careers team, and key features of My World of Work.
  • New resources for My World of Work Ambassadors including a roller stand, handshake card and editable posters.

The career posters cover a range of subjects, from English and physics to languages and music. Showcasing the variety of job roles relevant to the subject and information about their associated industries, these posters will be a great addition to classrooms, careers spaces and information boards in school.

The suite of posters recently won an award for Best Design at the Creative Exchange meet, a network for public sector in-house designers.

Teachers looking to get access to the new materials for their school can contact their school’s careers adviser or local PD&I contact.
