Each school has a dedicated Partner Development and Integration (PD&I) Executive who can support the delivery of the Career Education Standard entitlements as set out in the SDS/school partnership agreement. We do this through:

My World of Work capacity building for teachers:

We support teachers to strengthen their skills and confidence in using My World of Work so that they can direct pupils and parents to online resources and information, especially around subject choices and career decisions.

My World of Work lesson inserts for subject lessons:

Co-created with teachers, these short activities link subjects to relevant content on My World of Work, helping to make connections between subjects and potential careers. Find out more

My World of Work lesson plans for PSE/Guidance staff:

We’ve worked with teachers to create these resources which are linked to Building the Curriculum 4, for teachers to deliver lessons using My World of Work. These help to introduce pupils to various aspects of the world of work. Find out more

My World of Work/HGIOS4 mapping for SMT:

We’ve introduced resources to demonstrate which elements of My World of Work can be used as evidence against HGIOS4 indicators. Find out more

My World of Work Ambassadors programme:

We’ve established this innovative programme, where pupils volunteer to promote My World of Work in school to their peers, parents and teachers, while gaining valuable experience and transferable skills for work. Find out more

In 2017/18, 69% of schools participated in the Ambassador programme. A new publication to celebrate the success of the 2017/18 programme across the country is now available. Find out more.
