SDS’s hugely successful series of live and online cyber security lessons are being made available again to S1, S2 and S3 pupils.

Commencing at the end of this month (September), the three interactive lessons don’t require any technical knowledge, and are designed to give pupils an insight into one of the fastest growing industries in the UK (as well as teaching them about personal protection online).

The sessions are free to attend and you can choose to attend one event or all three if you wish. Click on the links below to book your place at these hugely popular and essential events.

Lesson 1: Friday 28th September 2018 11am - 12 noon
Pupils will become digital detectives, tracking down the hideout of a cyber-criminal gang. Inspired by real-life events, they’ll use code to extract evidence hidden inside photographs, learn how their own social media posts might leak personal information, and receive tips on how to protect themselves online.

Lesson 2: Tuesday 6 December 2018 2pm - 3pm
Our company is under attack. We have intelligence that someone is trying to send a virus into our computer. It’s up to the pupils to protect us. By taking part in a live (simulated) cyber-attack they will learn how companies defend themselves from these very real threats.

Lesson 3: 26th February 2019 11am - 3pm
Will you stop the cybercriminals before time runs out? There is only one way to find out………

The live stream is via YouTube. Teachers will need to ensure they have access to this in order to participate.

To date the first round of Cyber Skills Live lessons, launched only last year, have been completed by more than 6,700 pupils – this is an event not to be missed!
