Renfrewshire Council business and administration apprentice Angela Wilson completed her Modern Apprenticeship in 2013.

Angela (from Erskine) has gained a number of promotions, now mentors new Modern Apprentices, and is currently studying for a business degree at Glasgow Caledonian University.

She says she would encourage other young people to choose a Modern Apprenticeship to help them gain the skills needed to get a foothold in the workplace.

"A modern apprenticeship is something I would absolutely recommend to other people my age. It has given me a clear idea of what I want to do in the years ahead, which is to work in events. I have also picked up the experience and confidence to do things I would never imagine I could do, such as giving a presentation to a room of senior staff."
