In the last 12 months to the 30th of June 2019 we supported 12 employers and 1,410 individuals dealing with redundancy.

As of 28th of June 2019 there were 876 Modern Apprentices in training.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we supported 119 Modern Apprenticeship starts.

The Modern Apprenticeship achievement rate in Dundee City is 73%.

From 1st June 2018 to 31st May 2019 we delivered 9,517 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 4,819 school pupils through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

From 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019, 973 people have registered on myworldofwork.co.uk.

From 1st April 2019 to 28th June 2019 we funded 126 Employability Fund starts.

From 1st April 2019 to 30th June 2019 we delivered 794 Career Information, Advice and Guidance engagements for 484 post-school customers through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions.

The 2019 Annual Participation Measure showed that of the 5,414 16-19 year olds in Dundee City 88.2% were in education, employment or training and personal development.

We help local employers in Dundee make sure they have the right skills now and in the future by providing support and advice on skills, talent development and funding.

Supporting partners in Dundee

We work closely with schools across Dundee, supporting the My World of Work aspects of the School Partnership Agreements. Your local Partner Development and Integration Executive can help with:

Delivery of the successful My World of Work School Ambassador programme
Raising awareness and building capacity amongst teachers to use all the online resources available, including the recently developed Lesson Inserts
Developing new Lesson Inserts. A simple way to link the curriculum with careers

We’ve also organised update and awareness sessions amongst other local partner organisations to embed My World of Work into their own services. This has included close ties with Dundee & Angus College to trial ways to increase capacity building with staff to promote career management skills.
