Skills Investment Plans (SIPs) are
industry-led publications developed on behalf of the Scottish
Government by Skills Development Scotland.
They are developed in consultation with skills bodies and
stakeholders, to support the delivery of each sector's skills and
Each SIP highlights the key actions to be put into place to meet
the future skills needs of the sector.
SIPs have already been produced for the Energy, Food & Drink
and Tourism sectors.
During the 2013/14 year, we will also be developing SIPs for
Financial Services, Life Sciences, Engineering, ICT, Creative
Industries, Chemical Sciences and Construction sectors.
