Information on our strategic agreements with schools and colleges.
Agreements with schools
SDS currently engages locally with each secondary school to plan
our provision. We develop a partnership agreement for each
secondary school in Scotland, which is informed and principled by
the Scottish Government's national strategies for education, and
seek alignment with the National Outcomes for Education.
The purpose of the Partnership Agreement is to focus the
effective collaboration between the school and SDS in order to
achieve the highest level of positive and sustainable destinations
for school leavers.
Our services to schools broadly include careers advice and
guidance services, support for school-college collaborative
activity and other employability services to support positive
destinations for young learners who are at risk of falling into the
More Choices More Chances group.
Other services include support for enterprise education
activities which involves brokerage work with employers. The
Partnership Agreement is negotiated annually.

Agreements with special schools
SDS currently engages with each special school to plan our
provision. The purpose of the Partnership Agreement is to focus the
effective collaboration between the school and SDS in order to
achieve the highest level of positive and sustainable destinations
for school leavers. Given the specific nature of special schools we
seek to deliver tailored services that reflect the needs of its
pupils. Our services to schools broadly include careers advice and
guidance services and other employability services.
