Get on board with Skillseekers

Flexible and accessible, Skillseekers training is an excellent option for anyone aged 16 to 19 not currently in further or higher education. Skillseekers training can be adapted to sectors where there is no Modern Apprenticeship available.  And if you're not already in employment, you can even target your training to fill a specific gap in the local labour market.

Skillseekers training won't set you back a penny, so you can simply concentrate on getting on with your learning. If you're working, your employer will appreciate your new skills; if you're looking for work, Skillseekers training could be just the thing to help you secure a job.

Find out more about how Skillseekers training can help you to broaden your career options and progress in your career. Contact your local Careers Scotland centre or call the Careers Scotland helpline on 0845 8 502 502.

What does Skillseekers training involve?

Skillseekers vocational training helps to provide you with improved practical skills by supporting you as you work towards a SVQ or NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification when a Modern Apprenticeship isn't available.

As a Skillseekers trainee you'll work through the various modules towards your qualification in your own time, at your own pace. No doubt you'll have heaps of questions to ask along the way. Which is why we also provide you with the support of your local training centre for the duration of your Skillseekers training.
