Skills Development Scotland (SDS) has a Next Steps event for young people on Wednesday 19 July.

The aim of the event, at the Michael Lynch Centre for Enterprise, in Princess Street, Ardrossan, is to provide information, support and advice for 16 to 18 year olds.

Career Coach George Burns said: “Young people who come along will be able to find out about the range of options and opportunities that are available. We will have lots of information about employability programmes, Modern Apprenticeships, training and further education.

“Our qualified careers advisers will also be there to provide one-to-one help and support for young people and give them the information they need to make decisions about their next steps.”

He hopes young people from Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Stevenston and West Kilbride will come along to the event which is from 1.30pm until 3.30pm.

“If anyone can’t make along, they can come into our SDS centre, in Irvine’s Rivergate Mall or call 01294 272421,” said George.

SDS is Scotland’s careers service, with careers advisers working from its careers centres, community premises and in every state secondary school across Scotland.
