Skills Development Scotland has three nominations at this year's UK Career Development Awards.
The awards are run by the Career Development Institute and aim to promote excellence in career development, as well as celebrating successes in the profession.
SDS’s Developing Pathways for Young Talent in CIAG programme picked up a nomination in the Investing in Continuing Professional Development (Large Company) category.
SDS has two nominations in the Best Practice in the Use of Technology in Career Development category, both for ‘My World of Work Live!’
The My World of Work Live! programme is a set of interactive exhibits designed to inspire young people’s interest in careers in science, technology, engineering and maths.
It was nominated for its development of the Virtual Reality Careers in Construction with partners Heriot-Watt University, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Animmersion UK Ltd. Its work at the Digital Studio in Inverness also got a nod.
SDS is a previous winner in this category, picking up the award in 2014 for career information and advice web service My World of Work.
Danny Logue, SDS Operations Director said: “SDS is passionate about skills development and its contribution to a modern, innovative and prosperous Scottish economy.
“We are delighted that the nominations recognise the hard work of teams from across our organisation.”
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Leeds on 8 March.
