Skills Scotland 2010

Skills Scotland is the country's largest careers and skills event, providing young people, mainly between the ages of 14-19 with information and advice on career and training opportunities. Among the employers who will be at the event are Clyde Union Pumps, Gleneagles Hotel, the BBC, Scottish Power and EDF Energy. Skills Develolpment Scotland will also be there, along with many colleges and training bodies, to offer advice about further and higher education, apprenticeships and other forms of on-the-job training.

The first Skills Scotland in November 2009 was a great success with well over 7,000 young people meeting with over 50 exhibitors. The 2010 event will build upon this success and will be even bigger and more interactive when it takes place again from 9.30am - 3.00pm on 17 and 18 November 2010 at the SECC in Glasgow. Admission is free. Skills Scotland is the only national event specifically aimed at 14-19 year olds and their parents/carers.
